Coastal Tussock

An emphasis on the spontaneous movement of paint, rather than a carefully pre-planned image. Acrylic paint and watercolours are poured and guided around the canvas, allowing colours to flow, merge, and interact naturally, a soft brush then blends to create an ombre effect. Free oil pastel strokes give the painting a suggestion of the surrounding landscape. A deliberately restrained, earthy colour palette creates a sense of minimalism.
