Pansy Blue

An emphasis on the spontaneous movement of paint, rather than a carefully pre-planned image. Inks and watercolours are poured and guided around the canvas, allowing colours to flow, merge, and interact naturally. The organic forms of botanicals serve as a loose starting point - more suggestive than literal. A deliberately restrained, earthy colour palette creates a sense of minimalism. Pools of colour bleed into and through one another and a solid block-colour background introduces space and depth, allowing the flowing inks to take centre stage.
